Perfect Baby Shower Gift for Nursing Moms

This post brought to you by Comfort and Harmony. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s baby time!  Just look around and you’ll see so many pregnant women.  I know that seems to be the case for me as many of my family and friends are having babies.

I’ve been invited to several showers and have been looking for the perfect baby shower gift and I think I’ve found the perfect one, for the moms who plan on nursing.

My perfect gift is the Comfort & Harmony Mombo  Nursing Pillow.  What I really like about this is the  2-Sided construction.  This product is uniquely designed to offer distinct benefits on each side. The firm side offers enhanced back support during nursing and just the right elevation for baby. the soft side creates the perfect environment for lounging. The optional vibration helps soothe the baby, which can be used anytime throughout the day.

There are so many creative mombo nursing pillow designs that you can choose from too, all of which can find at Toys R Us and Babies R Us.  You can also find lots of slipcovers too!  These will come in handy when the babies spit up and don’t have time to wash.

I love meaningful gifts and gifts that have more than one use.  I feel that this Mombo Nursing Pillow meets that!  This way I feel like I’m getting the most out of my money.   Plus it really brings me so much joy when I see my gift is being used everyday, I know I purchased the perfect gift.

Egg Casserole with Hashbrowns and Sausage

Egg Casseroles are one of our weekend life saver dishes.   You don’t have to worry about cleaning very many dishes or serving it with a bunch of sides.   We often only consider casseroles for dinner, but have you thought about having a casserole for breakfast?

egg casserole

I love making my Egg Casserole Recipe on Sundays.  Sunday is a really busy day for us, especially in the morning, when we are trying to get the kids ready for church.  It seems that we are often running out the door and I don’t have time to feed my kids a warm breakfast.  This is the perfect dish for that, because I can throw this together and by the time we are all showered and dressed, our breakfast will be ready.

Do you have a favorite casserole?  If so, Country Crock wants to give you a chance to win some amazing prizes by sharing your favorite casserole in the County Crock Stars contest!

All you need to do is share a photo of your casserole and tell them in a 100 words how you demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in the kitchen.  For more information Check out this video:  Searching For The Next Crock Star

Cilantro Lime Chicken Baked or Grilled

Cilantro Lime Chicken is one of my favorite dishes and it’s really simple to bake or grill.  This recipe doesn’t require a bunch of ingredients and at the right price, this is one meal you can serve to a lot of people on a budget.

Cilantro Lime Chicken

When making this Cilantro Lime Chicken recipe the first thing you’ll need of course is chicken. You can use whatever type of chicken you want, however I chose chicken leg quarters from Smart and Final.  These will actually go on sale for $0.79 a lb. starting May 1st.  This is a great time to stock up and freeze these.  Remember, stockpiling is one of best ways to save money.

Cilantro Lime Chicken

Now that we’ve got our chicken, we’ll also need a few other ingredients.   Most of the stuff I’m sure you’ll have on hand.

Cilantro Lime

To make this Cilantro Lime Marinade just throw all of the ingredients into your blender and blend.

Cilantro Lime

Then grab a storage bag and place your chicken leg quarters inside the storage bag and let them sit in the refrigerator for about 45 mins.

Cilantro Lime Chicken

What I really like about this recipe is that you can bake it or grill it.

To Bake:  Dump all of the ingredients from the storage container in a casserole dish and bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.

Cilantro Lime Chicken

To Grill:  Grill over Medium-Low Heat for about 30-35 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.

Cilantro Lime Chicken

Whichever method you choose, to baked or grill the taste of your cilantro lime chicken will be scrumptious!

Cilantro Lime Chicken

Now just add some easy side dishes to this recipe.  You can add black beans and corn, spanish rice and even some tortillas to stretch the meal even further.  The possibilities are endless.   Here is the marinade recipe for the Cilantro Lime Chicken.  Enjoy!
