Bountiful Baskets Order Day

Bountiful Baskets

I just love Mondays!  Why?  Because it’s the day I get to order my Bountiful Baskets for the week.  This is your friendly reminder to order your’s too!

If you are not familiar with bountiful baskets, it’s one of my favorite ways to control my spending on fruits and vegetables.  Be sure to check out my posts on How I save on fruits and vegetables or Bountiful Basket Review

What is Bountiful Baskets? It’s a non profit co-op group. You pay in advance on Monday and you pick-up on Saturday, at the time and location you select.  With the fund collected your money is pooled together with all of the other participants, your fruits and vegetables are bought directly to your site, taking the middle man (ie., Albertsons) out of the equation.  Be sure to order soon, because sites and time will fill up quickly.

One of the things I love about my basket is that I never know what I’m going to get and therefore I get to try something new.  A few months ago I got Brussels Sprouts in my basket.  I would have never purchased Brussels sprouts before.  Now it’s a family favorite.  However, not knowing what’s in your basket is also a downfall.  You never know what you’ll get and if you are really picky this may not be for you.

Contribution time starts at 12pm for most states.
