Bountiful Baskets
Bountiful Baskets
It’s the first Monday of the year! I’m so excited Because it’s the day I get to order my Bountiful Baskets and it’s the first basket of the year! This your friendly reminder to order your’s too! If you are not familiar with bountiful baskets, it’s one of my favorite ways to control my spending on fruits and vegetables. Be sure to check out my posts on How I save on fruits and vegetables or Bountiful Basket Review
What is Bountiful Baskets? It’s a non profit co-op group. You pay in advance on Monday and you pick-up on Saturday, at the time and location you select. With the fund collected your money is pooled together with all of the other participants, your fruits and vegetables are bought directly to your site, eliminating the grocery. Each site has a number of available baskets so be sure to order quickly – sites fill up soon.
One of the things I love about my basket is that I never know what I’m going to get and therefore I get to try something new. There are several things I never would have purchased that I just love. One example would be Spaghetti Squash. Now it’s a family favorite. Not knowing what’s in your basket can be a downfall. You never know what you’ll get and if you are really picky this may not be for you. That’s why I created another site called BountifulBasketRecipes.Com This site is new, so we are slowing growing our recipe database. In the meantime you can connect with other Bountiful Basket Recipes lovers on our facebook group.
